Acceptable Use Policy
VINC makes films with generative AI. That power comes with rules. Break them and we may remove content, suspend or terminate your account, forfeit credits, and — where the law requires — report to authorities. If something you want to make sits near a line, ask first: support@vinc.ai.
Never allowed
- Child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors — real, fictional, or stylized. Zero tolerance; reported to authorities (including NCMEC and Indian authorities) wherever the law requires.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery — sexual or intimate depictions of any real person without their documented consent, including "undressing" edits.
- Deceptive deepfakes of real people — content depicting a real, identifiable person saying or doing things they did not, presented in a way a reasonable viewer could take as authentic. Satire, parody, and clearly-labeled fiction using consented likenesses are fine; deception is not.
- Election and civic deception — synthetic media designed to mislead about candidates, voting procedures, or public emergencies.
- Fraud and impersonation — fake evidence, fabricated documents or records presented as genuine, impersonation of individuals, organizations, or government bodies.
- Incitement — content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or hatred against people on the basis of protected characteristics; anything threatening the sovereignty, integrity, or security of India or any state, or public order, as described in Rule 3(1)(b) of India's IT Rules 2021.
- Serious harm how-tos — instructions for weapons, explosives, arms and ammunition, malware, or dangerous substances dressed up as film content.
- Anything else unlawful — content that violates any law in force where you use or publish it, including the categories listed in Rule 3(1)(b) of India's IT Rules 2021.
Legal warning — synthetic media misuse (India)
Misusing VINC to create or share unlawful synthetically generated content — deepfakes, non-consensual imagery, false records, deceptive depictions of real people or events — can attract penalties under India's Information Technology Act 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, the POCSO Act 2012, the Representation of the People Act 1951, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act 1986, and other applicable laws — alongside laws of your own country. Consequences on our side: immediate removal, suspension or termination of your account with evidence preserved, and disclosure of your identity to a victim or authority where the law requires it.
Allowed only with rights and care
- Real people's likenesses and voices — only with their consent, or within clearly-labeled commentary, satire, or artistic uses your jurisdiction permits. You are responsible for publicity and personality rights in every market where you publish.
- Voice cloning — only your own voice or a voice you have written permission to replicate. Unauthorized voice replicas of real people (including performers — see Tennessee's ELVIS Act and California's digital-replica laws) are prohibited.
- Copyrighted characters, footage, music, and marks — only with a license or a defensible fair-use/fair-dealing basis. Uploading reference material you have no rights to is a Terms violation.
- Adult-only themes (graphic violence, mature subject matter) — keep them lawful, keep them out of reach of minors when you distribute, and label them honestly.
Synthetic-media transparency
Everything VINC renders is AI-generated, and the law increasingly requires saying so out loud:
- We attach provenance signals to rendered output where technically feasible (metadata identifying content as AI-generated), in line with the EU AI Act's transparency obligations, India's synthetic-media labelling rules, and US state provenance laws such as the California AI Transparency Act.
- Do not strip, remove, or falsify AI-provenance labels, watermarks, or metadata from content made with VINC.
- When you publish VINC content depicting realistic people or events, you must disclose that it is AI-generated wherever a viewer could otherwise be deceived — and always where the law of your audience requires a label.
Platform integrity
- No probing, scraping, reverse-engineering, or circumventing of rate limits, metering, safety filters, or access gates.
- No reselling of renders as a competing service or API.
- No attempts to make the underlying models produce content this policy prohibits — prompt-engineering around a refusal is itself a violation.
Reporting
See something on VINC that breaks these rules? Report it to our Grievance Officer — acknowledged within 24 hours, resolved within 7 days. Non-consensual intimate imagery has a dedicated 48-hour removal path at Report intimate imagery; copyright complaints go through the DMCA process.
